Darrell Issa Is Failing Southern California—And I’m Fighting Back

Over the past six weeks, we’ve seen a major shift in government that should concern people across the political spectrum—right, left, or center.
According to reports from a broad spectrum of media sources, including the NY Times, Washington Post, and even Fox News confirm that Elon Musk, an unelected billionaire, now has access to your Social Security number and the financial systems that process your tax refunds and Social Security checks. Musk has access to your educational data, including loan payment info. In other words, he has control over whether you receive the money you rely on. With the press of a button, it could all be gone.
Donald Trump has remained silent while Elon Musk took your info. This is a massive data breach, and will impact your life over time. Given that everyone in this country has now been compromised, the cost of fixing this disaster, and protecting your personal information will be astronomical. Trump has stayed silent while Musk gained control over critical financial systems. If Trump won’t protect your data, your security, or your wallet—who is he really working for? Why is no one stopping this disaster?
WHERE IS DARRELL ISSA?
Did you want everything you’ve worked for to be at the mercy of Musk’s ketamine-influenced whims (he himself has confirmed his use in an interview with Don Lemon), and in the hands of his inexperienced and impressionable minions? If so, you’re not alone in feeling betrayed. Millions of Americans—right, left, and center—see the corruption and want change.
Donald Trump is letting this happen and his allies, including local representative Darrell Issa, do not have any intention of stopping it. Issa rubber-stamps every move, prioritizing power over people. Issa is too weak to tell Trump to focus on improving your finances. If you think Darrell Issa is going to stand up for you, think again. Historically, Issa has voted against capping insulin prices. He supported tax cuts for billionaires but not for working families. He hasn’t hosted a town hall in nearly 8 years. If Issa can’t act when your personal data, your SSN, and sensitive medical and financial data is in danger, what reason do you have to believe he will EVER care about you?
Darrell Issa is cashing in while you suffer. That must stop.

My Plan for 2026
I’m planning to run against Darrell Issa in 2026— as a Democrat, as I did when I ran for office in 2022, but with the intention of holding both parties accountable to their constituents. I’m doing so as a message that people matter more than political parties. Your well-being matters more than billionaires’ profits.
I refuse to ignore the struggles of everyday people while politicians look the other way. I believe in the core values I talked about in my previous campaign. I still believe I can help all of us to live a better life. And frankly, it’s easier to meet people where they’re at without the stigma of a political party.
The Democratic Party Is Failing Its Most Loyal Supporters
I’m concerned that the Democratic Party has problems that leadership isn’t motivated to solve. In 2022, I met incredible, hardworking Democrat voters — many sharing the same struggles that Trump voters, as well as non-voters, wished to solve. And yet, Democrat leaders keep failing them. For example, despite overwhelming public support, Democrat leadership killed a Cal-Care plan that would have lowered healthcare costs for millions. I just can’t support a party that turns its back on its own voters. It goes against every fiber of my being.
The One Thing the Republican Party Has RIGHT
While I don’t agree with the Republican Party on much of anything, I believe that all Californians deserve better than what they are receiving from their representatives, regardless of party. You may be worried about inflation, jobs, housing, healthcare, and education and feel that government is not set up with your well-being in mind. Your concerns are valid. Life is tough right now, right here in California. Perhaps its not surprising that there was nearly a 10% drop in voters who cast a ballot in 2024, versus the previous election. It’s easy to blame those in power, but I believe that is why your vote is so important in the next election.

The truth is, both parties serve the wealthy and powerful, not the average person. Members of Congress earn $174,000 a year, but that’s nothing compared to the millions they make from insider access. Just look at Nancy Pelosi’s stock market performance. Then take a look at some of the Republicans’ portfolio returns.
This isn’t a Republican or Democrat issue—it’s a money issue. And it needs to change.
What’s Next?
If you live in Darrell Issa’s district, I hope you’ll join me, regardless of your typical party preference. I promise that I will fight for:
- Mitigating risks that arise from the Trump administration’s actions
- Lowering costs for working families
- Government transparency and banning insider trading
- Holding both major political parties accountable
- Protecting personal liberties and marginalized communities
If you haven’t seen a reason to vote recently, I hope I can earn your trust, and your vote. I know you may struggle to believe in the potential of a functional government that actually works to serve you. I can at least promise you that I will do my best. I’ll be transparent. I’ll be honest. I’ll be kind where I can, and tough as nails when necessary.
To my Democrat voters, please know that I’m still your ally in the fight for equality. Some may distort my message as an abandonment of Democratic values. Far from it. I’ll fight as fiercely as ever to lift everyone up. I just cannot do my best work when state and national Democratic leadership actively works to the detriment of so many of the people they claim to protect.
Republican voters, I come to you in an attempt to bridge some gaps. We won’t agree on much, but I will do everything in my power to help you through an incredibly difficult economic environment.

To those that may wish to help… the most important thing you can do is spread the word about my campaign, and how I’m working to eliminate the corruption in leadership to benefit all. Please hold your representatives accountable, Issa or otherwise. Donations will be helpful, in time. If you have questions, reach out—I’ll answer. If you have concerns, let’s discuss them. I want to set a positive example of accountability in leadership. I will show you over the months to come that I take that responsibility seriously.
If you live outside this district, I encourage you to run for office and challenge your own representatives. Even if you don’t win, applying pressure matters. Politicians only pay attention when their job is on the line. Reach out to me if you’re not sure how to get started. We are stronger when we work together, and every race matters. Again, I’m happy to build alliances, share tips, and build a movement based on ethical leadership, and finally begin to make government work for the people.
The system is rigged, and both parties are failing us. We need leaders who fight for the people—not to appease their billionaire donors.
I’m stepping up. Will you?
Let’s take out the trash.
Together.
