If You've Given Up on Voting—You’re Not Wrong. But You’re Not Powerless.

If you live in California’s 48th District and haven’t voted in a while, I get it.
Truly, I do.
You’ve been told your vote matters—then watched nothing change. You’ve seen politicians make big promises, only to vanish when things get hard. You’ve worked your ass off just to stay afloat, while people in office fight for tax breaks for billionaires and photo ops instead of real solutions. You’re not apathetic. You’re exhausted. Disgusted. And probably angry.
Same.
Let me tell you something most candidates won’t: you have every right to feel that way. Our political system has been hijacked by the ultra-wealthy and run into the ground by people more loyal to their party or their donors than to the communities they’re supposed to serve. And the two-party system? It’s more interested in pointing fingers than fixing anything.
But here’s the thing. The people in power are counting on you to stay home.
They need you to believe your voice doesn’t matter. That’s how they win.
I’m not here to feed you fairy tales. I’m not promising overnight miracles. What I’m offering is something rare in politics: my word.
I will show up.
I will listen.
I will fight like hell for working people, not billionaires.
And if you give me your trust, I will do my absolute best to not let you down.
This district deserves better than business as usual.
You deserve better.
So if you’re ready to give this whole democracy thing one more shot, I’m ready to stand beside you and make it worth it. Let’s remind the people in charge that when we show up, we change everything.
With respect,
